I've seen some nice ones at national > control devices ... www.controlanything.com ... > > These noritake displays look very interesting too: > http://www.noritake-elec.com/products.htm considering the cost of small quantity for these displays, why not just use a small pda with a serial port as a terminal? a palmos device could function as a terminal with it's onscreen keyboard. i've been thinking of using my palmV in this way recently. or for kb input, an older palmtop capable of 80x25, such as an hp 100/200lx or a fujitsu poqetpc should work well for these applications and would have smaller footprints. I know the matrix orbital 40x4 lcd panel is thicker and longer than my hp200lx when it's folded up. I don't know if the new palm zire has a serial port, but it may be more cost and space effective than an lcd panel and keyboard and everything all hacked together. plus they'd be usuable in a detached mode as well. --francois -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" toWear-Hard Mailing List Archive (searchable): http://wearables.blu.org Please, *PLEASE* don't subscribe through a forward/expander/false domain
