This one allows for Full-sized AT keyboard. Would that work? http://www.matrixorbital.com/products/lk404-at.htm -----Original Message----- From: Jessica Mayo [mailto:] Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2003 1:40 PM To:

Adding an option to yor kernel paramaters in LILO/etc will make linux use the first serial port as it's console. Then all the boot messages will go to the serial port. I'm not sure if you need to seperately add a getty for the serial line to your /etc/inittab, but this functionality was added for router configurations where the *only* command prompt is on a serial terminal. :) I'm sure the Linux Documentation Project had a serial-console-howto or mini-howto somewhere... Just don't forget you need an ascii serial input device to go with the display if you're using it as a full terminal. :) ... Good luck. :) -- Jess (Everything with a grin :) -- Subscription/unsubscription/info requests: send e-mail with subject of "subscribe", "unsubscribe", or "info" to
