I have a really hard time seeing how something like this would be possible without a very complex charging mechanism. It seems like you'd always be dealing with a dead battery on one device or another, which could really be frustrating. The only solution I see to something like that is to have a charging pad of some sort, that you put all of the components on, before you go to bed (like placing your keys & wallet on the nightstand), which would use induction, so it wouldn't matter how you place them. It would still be a pain, though. If I accidentally leave the pen in my briefcase, my system would be crippled, the next day. It's great to see this being done, though.
