I've tried out the HMD+subnotebook combination with a Twinhead
PowerSlim and later with a Fujitsu Lifebook P1110. I found that HMDs
tend to distract other people way too much, thus making decent
conversation almost impossible. <laugh> Also, my HMD was kinda heavy
on the head. Then again, I was using an M1, and I understand that
better displays are out.

I've switched to an entirely audio-based system, since my subnotebook
is small enough (and cute enough!) to whip out whenever I need visual
output anyway. I may look into using an iPAQ or a phone to provide
extra visual output...
