As Jeremy correctly assumed, 999 US dollars.

I don't normally post private email, but I don't think they
will mind in this case.

Begin quotation:
Thank you for your interest in the M1100. We are shipping
now, but have sold out until the week of March 17th for the
next run. In regards to Linux, we have some people that are
working on drivers for Linux as we speak. I do not anticipate
having anything available until sometime in April at the
earliest. The price for the unit is $999.00 US. Please let
me know if you would like to get on the list for March.

Thank you,

Stephen Glaser
VP of Sales & Marketing
Interactive Imaging Systems, Inc.
End quotation.

I've been wondering that too. Or are they both getting it
from some third company, and which company is that? I'd
love to have a color (S)VGA HMD powered by a USB port, but no
such beast is really available. If the parts were cheap enough
it might be worth trying to build one with my limited electronic
skills.
