RE: View Finder Issue

I found COMPOSITE signal by ATTEMPT-MISTAKE metod (on my viewfinder), like
this:

switch on power supply in camera and switch on any videosignal generator
(maybe some sort (good) old computer like ZX Spectrum, Amiga... which have
video out)

DO NOT connect ground wire on camera to ground of videosignal generator!!!

try one of wires from viewfinder (except ground or Vcc) to videosignal
generator, but remember DO NOT connect ground.
if you see some kind noise in viewfinder that wire what you tried to connect
is about 50% video in.
try all wires (except ground of Vcc).

If you see some kind noise in the viewfinder ONLY with one of these wires,
that wire what you tried to connect is about 50% video in.
If you see some kind squeezed picture in viewfinder, like normal TV or
monitor with bad vertical/horizontal synchronization, that wire what you
tried to connect is about 99% video in.

If you found one wire what is maybe video in, try connect ground ;-]

Sorry for my english, this is not my primary language ;-)

Well the power comes right into the viewfinder

Ok the camera is a canon 520a and the battery rode
right on the side of the view finder as well as the
zoom in and zoom out.

So it's all in the same board, there is a power
(red/black) line that feeds the rest of the camera
power. I tested it all connected and the main camera
circut board returned the numbers I provided for each
wire.

I assume that the power is going directly to the CRT
since it's on the same board.

You seem to know what these wires are, my question is
what do I do to get a component video connected to the
CRT. Like a yellow component plug from a VCR for
example.

This has been a very interesting project.
