That's a neat little unit but I do not think it's suitable for HMD or at least not for something discretely mounted infront of your eyes. For the wrist I think it would be ideal, combined with some small keyboard :) Perhaps there's a way to take the unit out of that case and what not but still the PCB could be as big as the actual case so you will have to seperate one from the other. But then you are running into a problem that it's a TFT screen and not LCoS display so the cable length between the driver and the display cannot be too long etc. Resolution, I'm guessing 800x225 or something like that, not really what you'd hope for when it comes to VGA, think if you run at 640x480 there's quite a few vertical lines lost.
