Thanks for the link on that test moniter. After reading the post by nick on adapting a video camera CRT it looks like its probobly more hassle than its worth. I was manly attracted to the CRT because the camera was selling for $22. But it seems the price isn't worth it if I have to spend hours and hours trying to get it working. I will just have to keep looking around for an afordable HMD. That test moniter might be a possiblility. I think I will look on ebay for it. Right now I am keeping tabs on some "virtual reality" displays on ebay. But those would require some hacking to get working. The test moniter would only require a mounting setup. I wonder if it would be worth picking up the video camera anyway to use the optics from it with the test moniter. Due to the configuration of the test moniter I might have to use a mirror of some sort and have the test moniter mounted virticaly or off to the side. Thanks for all the info ---wrote: > Here's the B/W 1" Test Monitor, what Nick was > talking about: > http://www.supercircuits.com/STORE/prodinfo.asp?number=MON1&variation=&aitem > =3&mitem=10 > > Otherwise I'd venture into this only if I secure the > camera schematics > beforehand rather than banging my head off the wall > later :) > You can combine RGB > (http://www.epanorama.net/links/videocircuits.html#rgbsvideocvideo) > or try > with the resistor idea and get H/V sync into CSync > separately with some TTL > ICs.
